"Time changes yesterday, we were once Brothers fighting side my side.
Yesterday we were good,change in time and
today you turned your back at me and knocked me out. Truly time changes yesterday- O'lan"
This was a lovely poem from a lovely friend, brother, a protegee to few, but a role model to many.Yesterday we were good,change in time and
today you turned your back at me and knocked me out. Truly time changes yesterday- O'lan"
This poem gave me an insight into many angles...amongst friends, family, colleagues and co. But something really strikes my heart the most That I really desire to share;
Looking way back to the earlies when the blacks were the slaves of the whites, there was unity amongst us while we strive hard to surviving the hardship faced in the slavery, while proposing to the new future a betterment for the generations to come. there was solidarity, we fought to reinstate our pride as black!
We fought so well, verbally and strategic-wise. We fought so so well that God helped the black and Alas! We were liberated from slavery.
We blacks have been through enough to make us "We", but here we are today, the enemies of ourselves. We lash ourselves, condemn ourselves, destroy our homes, tearing apart the pride that has been retained. An example is the war against blacks in South Africa by the Zulus, killing many of black foreigners in their country claiming what does not measure up to their actions. Also in Nigeria, my homeland, our hands against eachother, all in the name of ethnic differences, politics, religion etc. I am prompted to ask why! How has this quench the thirst for Our Selfish urge, while the onset love we had for ourselves would have worked things out?
Millions of questions, but a very short space to ask....but with the few lines, I am confident a message / messages have been passed.
We need to unite, to uphold the black power, to invest peace into the unknown generations to come and amongst us, should reign PEACE.
GOD BLESS AFRICA, GOD BLESS NIGERIA, GOD UPHOLD THE BLACK NATIONS.
